A step-by-step account of cross-flashing a Dell PERC H310 to IT mode on a Legacy BIOS system.
Along the way: beep codes from SMBus interference, Option ROM shadow space conflicts, a mysterious erase failure (Error code 64), and finally the dreaded “Cannot Flash IT Firmware over IR Firmware!” error. The fix wasn’t the latest sas2flash — it was switching to an old P07 build.
